Muere Kailia Posey a los 16 años, la recordada ‘niña sonriente’ que protagonizó un popular meme.

Kailia Posey, a quien el mundo conoció cuando, siendo una niña apareció en el show “Toddlers & Tiaras” de TLC, murió a la corta edad de 16 años. La joven también es recordada por una infinidad de memes que surgieron a raíz de su peculiar gesto que la inmortalizó en el mundo de los memes y stickers.

“No tengo palabras”, escribió su madre, Marcy Posey Gatterman, este 2 de mayo en su cuenta de Facebook, junto a una foto de la fallecida chica.

“Una hermosa niña se ha ido”, escribió destrozada, y pidió a la gente privacidad, para vivir el duelo por la muerte de Kailia. “Mi bebé por siempre”, añadió en su post.

Hasta el momento se desconoce la causa del deceso de Posey. Un medio estadounidense se contactó a las autoridades locales de Las Vegas, donde la familia reside, pero aún no obtienen respuesta.

Kailia apareció en la serie de TLC junto a su madre, quien la entrenó para ser contorsionista. “Cuando Kailia era más joven, cuando tenía 3 años, comenzó a participar en concursos”, dijo Marcy en un clip del programa, publicado en Youtube. “Ella es una profesional cuando llegue a ese escenario, dirá que está nerviosa, pero una vez ahí, es una profesional. Te vencerá, cada vez”.

“Kailia tiene muy buen talento”, continuó Marcy. “Quiero decir, simplemente increíble. No conozco a nadie que compita con Kailia”.

El 20 de abril, poco más de una semana antes de su muerte, Kailia celebró su cumpleaños número 16 y publicó una serie de fotos en su cuenta oficial de Instagram.

Días después, el 23 de abril, compartió la que sería su última foto en dicha red social. Kailia posó sonriente con un vestido rojo, y simplemente escribió, “No es de tu incumbencia”.
