La filmación de “Pantera Negra 2” es suspendida tras una lesión de Letitia Wright

La producción de “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” o “Pantera Negra 2” ha sido suspendida esperando la recuperación de la que podríamos ver como nueva protagonista, Letitia Wright, la intérprete de Shuri.

La lesión que sufrió en agosto, se dijo era menor y no debía afectar el calendario de producción, según reportaron entonces las publicaciones especializadas Variety y Hollywood Insider.

Acorde a The Hollywood Reporter la producción espera retomarse a inicios de 2022.

Uno de los representantes de la actriz dijo sobre su condición física: “Letitia se ha estado recuperando en Londres desde septiembre de sus heridas en el set y espera volver a inicios de 2022. Letitia les pide amablemente que la recuerden en sus plegarias”.

Letitia se encuentra convaleciente en Londres desde septiembre tras las heridas que sufrió en el set de ‘Pantera Negra 2’.

Wright repite su interpretación como Shuri tras haber también aparecido en “Black Panther”, “Vengadores Infinity War” y “Vengadores: End Game”. Tras rumores en redes, muchos infirieron que sería la protagonista de la entrega, aún cuando los productores de Marvel habían explicado que la historia se centraría más en la historia de Wakanda.

El personaje de la actriz debe asumir un rol aún más importante en esta secuela, tras la muerte el año pasado por cáncer de Chadwick Boseman, protagonista del filme.

Si bien muchos creyeron que si llegaba a haber un retraso sería por la polémica en la que se vio inmersa Wright sobre la propaganda antivacunas en el set de la película, ahora esto quedó descartado.

Nominada a siete categorías de los Oscar, entre ellas mejor película, “Pantera Negra” recaudó 1.300 millones de dólares en el mundo.
