Amplían protección para Ricky Martin ante demanda de su sobrino

El juez Glenn Velázquez Morales, del Tribunal de Primera Instancia de San Juan, extendió este jueves por un término de un año la orden de protección solicitada por el cantante Ricky Martin contra su sobrino, Dennis Yadiel Sánchez.

Los abogados del cantante, José Andreu Fuentes, Dora Monserrate Peñagarícano y Joaquín Monserrate Matienzo, presentaron prueba que demostró ante el tribunal la importancia de que se extendiera dicha medida de protección por la seguridad del artista.

Luego de escuchar la versión de Sánchez, el tribunal decidió la extensión de la orden de protección, que había sido concedida ex parte el pasado septiembre, según el comunicado de Perfect Partners, la firma de relaciones públicas del cantante en Puerto Rico.

Según la representación legal del artista, existen vigentes cuatro órdenes de protección emitidas en contra del joven a favor de cuatro ciudadanos distintos en casos separados.

Los representantes del artista insistieron en que el sobrino tiene “problemas de salud mental” e inició “una cruzada con el único propósito de asesinar la reputación de su tío y obtener un beneficio económico”.

Ricky Martin se encuentra “tranquilo, confiado y en paz, inmerso en una serie de proyectos artísticos y recibiendo el apoyo de toda su familia”, agregó la nota.

La vista celebrada hoy estaba pautada originalmente para el pasado 28 de septiembre, pero fue pospuesta en dos ocasiones.

La medida ordena a Sánchez “abstenerse de acosar, perseguir, intimidar, amenazar o de cualquier otra forma interferir con la parte peticionaria o con miembros de su familia”, así como a no acercarse a su hogar o al de sus familiares y a no contactarlo por vía telefónica, correo electrónico o redes sociales.

Las demandas ante los tribunales empezaron cuando Sánchez logró ex parte una orden de protección por violencia doméstica contra el cantante, un caso que quedó archivado en julio a petición del propio demandante.

El cantante presentó posteriormente una millonaria demanda por extorsión, daños y perjuicios contra su sobrino y solicitó la orden de protección por amenazas y hostigamiento, extendida hoy.

Por su parte, Sánchez se querelló por agresión sexual contra su tío a principios de septiembre, pero una juez denegó el pasado 18 de octubre la orden de protección solicitada por el joven bajo la Ley de Víctimas de Violencia de Agresión Sexual de Puerto Rico.

Según los abogados del cantante, su hermana Vanessa Martin, madre de Sánchez, proveyó al Tribunal de Primera Instancia de San Juan unos mensajes de texto que desmentían esa supuesta agresión sexual.
