Sus comienzos

Cuando Morgan Freeman era un joven que aún estaba estudiando en la escuela, este le hizo una broma a un compañero de su misma clase. Por lo que, como castigo, tuvo que unirse al club de teatro de la escuela para actuar en una obra frente a cientos de personas. El castigo le sirvió para darse cuenta del don que tenía para actuar.

Pasión por los aviones

Freeman es un verdadero apasionado de los aviones, cuenta con una licencia de piloto privado. Antes de comenzar su carrera como actor quiso convertirse en piloto de combate para las Fuerzas Aéreas de los Estados Unidos; sin embrago, eso nunca se pudo hacer realidad, aunque, trabajó como mecánico de aviones de combate para el ejército estadounidense.

Apicultor apasionado

El actor ha confesado que siente una profunda preocupación por las abejas, ya que existe una “perdida” de estas colonias Estados Unidos. Es por eso que en su rancho de 124 acres en Mississippi cuenta con 26 colmenas para poder dedicarse a la apicultura.

Postura en cuanto al racismo

Freeman, a diferencia de otros, tiene una postura diferente en cuanto al racismo. Y es que considera que la mejor forma de parar el racismo es no hablar del tema. Es por esto que no apoya el “Mes de la Historia Negra” que se celebra todos los años en Estados Unidos. El actor afirma que la historia afroamericana es parte de la historia de los Estados Unidos y, por lo tanto, no debería ser celebrada aparte en un solo mes.
