¿Vuelve Lionel Messi al Barcelona? ‘Imposible’, dice Xavi

Es “imposible” que la superestrella argentina del Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi, regrese a Barcelona en este momento, dijo el técnico del club, Xavi Hernández.

Ante la pregunta de si quería que Messi volviera al club, Xavi respondió a los periodistas: “Sí, pero de momento Leo tiene contrato con otro club, así que es imposible.

“Es imposible. No tiene sentido hablar ahora de Messi”, dijo, y agregó: “Es el mejor futbolista del mundo y de la historia del fútbol”.

El técnico dijo que el presidente Joan Laporta había indicado que espera que “la historia de Leo y el Barça continúe”.

“Ya veremos en el futuro”, añadió Xavi.

Messi, que debutó en el Barcelona en 2004, ganó 10 Ligas y cuatro Champions con el club catalán.

Se fue del Barça en agosto de 2021, uniéndose al Paris Saint-Germain con mucha fanfarria en lo que podría decirse que fue el cambio de equipo de un jugador más impactante de la historia, pero no logró llegar a la lista de finalistas para el Jugador del Año de la Ligue 1 después de una decepcionante primera temporada en Francia.

Messi admitió en el verano de 2020 que había querido irse del Barcelona “todo el año” y afirmó que una cláusula en su contrato significaba que podía hacerlo gratis, pero al final Messi se vio obligado a quedarse porque el club no estaba de acuerdo y no estaba dispuesto a reducir su cláusula de rescisión de 700 millones de euros (897 millones de dólares).

Al final , el argentino estaba listo y dispuesto a quedarse en el club, pero las dificultades económicas en el Barça llevaron a Messi a hacer su famosa mudanza a la capital francesa.
