 Reconocimiento a medallistas salvadoreños por sus desempeños en competencias internacionales 

Este día, Yamil Bukele, presidente ad honorem del Instituto Nacional de los Deportes de El Salvador (INDES), entregó premios a los destacados medallistas de los Juegos Parapanamericanos Juveniles Bogotá 2023, Juegos Panamericanos y Juegos Parapanamericanos Santiago 2023. “Hoy es un día muy importante y especial porque se premia el esfuerzo y dedicación que han tenido todos los atletas en las diferentes competencias”, expresó Bukele, destacando la importancia de reconocer el arduo trabajo de los representantes de El Salvador en competiciones de alto nivel.

La entrega de estos reconocimientos refuerza el compromiso continuo del INDES de estimular y reconocer el esfuerzo y dedicación de los atletas salvadoreños en competiciones internacionales. Según la normativa vigente, los atletas reciben un premio por medalla y sus entrenadores el equivalente al 20 % de ese monto. En este contexto, El Salvador tuvo una destacada participación en los Juegos Parapanamericanos Juveniles Bogotá 2023, con Óscar Josué Alfaro Flores, paratleta del programa Esfuerzo y Gloria, ganando medalla de oro y plata, siendo recompensado con $4,000.

En la ceremonia de premiación también fueron reconocidos Herbert Aceituno y Rebeca Duarte, paratletas medallistas en los VII Juegos Parapanamericanos Santiago 2023, quienes recibieron $7,000 y $5,000 respectivamente. Este respaldo financiero y reconocimiento del Gobierno de El Salvador demuestra su compromiso con el desarrollo y éxito de los atletas nacionales, motivando a la comunidad deportiva a alcanzar altos estándares de rendimiento. El INDES reconoce el deporte como un vehículo inspirador para la juventud salvadoreña y como promotor de valores como la disciplina, determinación, responsabilidad y compromiso.
