Premier League regresa este fin de semana

Luego de una reunión entre los integrantes de la liga, se ha decidido seguir adelante con la mayoría de partidos de la competición.

La Premier League volverá a la acción este próximo viernes luego del receso que hubo en el fútbol de Inglaterra por el fallecimiento de la Reina Isabel II, así lo dio a conocer la competencia a través de un comunicado de prensa que se publicó en su sitio oficial.

“Los partidos de la Premier League se reanudarán este fin de semana después de una pausa en la temporada como muestra de respeto tras el fallecimiento de Su Majestad la Reina Isabel II”, se lee en el comunicado.

La jornada ocho de la Premier League se jugará, con la excepción de tres partidos que han sido cancelados, el Chelsea-Liverpool, el Manchester United-Leeds United y el Brighton & Hove Albion-Crystal Palace.

Tras una reunión mantenida entre los integrantes de la liga, se ha decidido seguir adelante con la mayoría de partidos de la competición, pese a que esos días estará abierta en Londres la capilla ardiente de la reina y que el lunes 19 de septiembre se celebrará su funeral.

El Chelsea-Liverpool y el Manchester United-Leeds Unied han sido suspendido por la falta de efecivos policiales para cubrir esos encuentros, mientras que el duelo entre el Brighton y el Palace se aplazó por las huelgas de trenes y se va a mantener así pese a que las huelgas fueron canceladas por la muerte de la monarca.

De este modo, se disputarán siete partidos de la Premier League después de que el pasado fin de semana del 10 y el 11 de septiembre se aplazase toda la jornada.

En todos los partidos que se jueguen durante el período de luto nacional, habrá homenajes a la Reina Isabel II, con minutos de silencio, la reproducción del himno nacional y brazaletes negros en los jugadores.

La jornada del fin de semana de la Premier League se disputará de la siguiente manera:

Viernes 16 de septiembre: Aston Villa vs. Southampton y Nottingham Forest.

Sábado 17 de septiembre: Wolverhampton vs. Manchester City, Newcastle vs. Bournemouth y Tottenham vs. Leicester City.
