Incluso los superhéroes deben cuidarse durante la pandemia de coronavirus. Ese es el mensaje de un nuevo y didáctico anuncio de servicio público de los Estados Unidos que reinventa muchos de los personajes favoritos del séptimo arte con cubreboca.
Una nueva campaña publicitaria de WarnerMedia que busca concientizar con el uso de la mascarilla en medio de la pandemia de COVID-19 ha recurrido a escenas míticas de su catálogo para ver cómo se verían sus protagonistas y grandes estrellas en esta situación.

El anuncio forma parte de la iniciativa “Mask Up America” y se emitirá en los distintos canales y plataformas de Warner. El breve video presenta a Wonder Woman, Harry Potter, Harley Quinn y más personajes de Warner Bros. que cubren su rostro con una mascarilla.
“Hay profundas preocupaciones de que con la propagación de las nuevas variantes de la COVID-19, lograr la inmunidad de rebaño necesaria para erradicar la pandemia podría ser difícil, si no imposible”, explicó el doctor Christopher Murray, director del IHME.
Los Centros para el Control de Enfermedades de Estados Unidos (CDC, por sus siglas en inglés) actualizaron sus recomendaciones sanitarias referidas al uso de mascarillas para mitigar la transmisión del COVID-19: indicaron que el uso de mascarillas quirúrgicas ajustadas, o poner una de tela por sobre una quirúrgica, aumenta de manera significativa la protección contra el virus, tanto para quien las usa como a terceros.
En febrero entró en vigor el decreto del presidente Joe Biden que exige el uso de mascarillas a toda personas que viajen en transportes públicos.
Quienes no cumplan con la nueva regla se exponen a ser expulsados del medio de transporte en cuestión y hasta pueden llegar a recibir una prohibición a largo plazo para utilizar esa forma de traslado. En casos más severos o recurrentes, la medida contempla cargos federales. La normativa es controlada por agentes de la Administración de Seguridad de Transporte (TSA, por sus siglas en inglés), así como también por cualquier efectivo federal, estatal o local.
