Llega el Kia Ceed más deportivo y tecnológico

La tercera generación incorpora tecnología autónoma de nivel 2

El nuevo Ceed, concebido, diseñado, desarrollado y fabricado en Europa (Kia)

En 2017, el segmento C supuso un 22% de todas las ventas en Europa y es, de forma constante, uno de los dos grandes segmentos por volumen. El Ceed registró el 16% de las ventas de Kia en Europa en 2017 y se ha mantenido sólidamente, junto con el Sportage, como uno de los modelos de la marca de mayor venta en Europa, desde su lanzamiento en 2012.

Ahora en su tercera generación, el nuevo Ceed, concebido, diseñado, desarrollado y fabricado en Europa, fortalece la presencia de Kia en el segmento C europeo con tecnologías innovadoras, un diseño atlético y una conducción aún más satisfactoria.

El nuevo Ceed es 20 mm más ancho y 23 mm más bajo que el anterior modelo (Kia)

Será presentado oficialmente en el próximo Salón del Automóvil de Ginebra, llegará a los concesionarios durante el tercer trimestre de este 2018 y ha sido diseñado en el centro europeo de la marca en Fráncfort, Alemania. Sus líneas, ahora más deportivas y estéticas, reflejan la carga de tecnología ofrecida para disfrutar al máximo de la conducción.

Según Michael Cole, Director de Operaciones de Kia Motors Europa, el nuevo Ceed “ofrece un diseño verdaderamente contemporáneo, así como tecnologías avanzadas que mejoran el confort, la funcionalidad y la seguridad”. Además, “sus nuevos motores y suspensión lo harán más divertido y agradable de conducir”, añade.

En el salpicadero destaca la pantalla táctil ‘flotante’ del sistema de infoentretenimiento (Kia)

En el habitáculo, el Ceed es más ergonómico que nunca y está recubierto con materiales de mayor calidad. El salpicadero está dividido en un área superior, con la pantalla táctil “flotante” del sistema de infoentretenimiento, y una parte inferior que aloja los controles para el audio, la ventilación y la calefacción.

Construido sobre la nueva plataforma “K2” de Kia, el nuevo Ceed es 20 mm más ancho (1.800 mm) y 23 mm más bajo (1.447mm) que el modelo anterior. La nueva plataforma contribuye a la distribución del espacio más eficiente del Ceed. El nuevo modelo destaca por un maletero más grande, de 395 l, así como de una mayor amplitud entre hombros para los pasajeros traseros, más espacio vertical en la primera fila y una posición de conducción más baja.

La gama incluye motores gasolina de 100120 140 caballos, y diésel de 115 136 CV. Estas mecánicas van asociadas a una caja manual de 6 velocidades o de 7 velocidades con doble embrague, según la opción escogida. En cuanto al equipamiento, destaca el sistema de asistencia para el seguimiento del carril (Lane Following Assist), una tecnología de conducción autónoma de Nivel 2.

También dispone de el control de crucero inteligente con función de parada y arranque automáticos, alerta de vehículos en el ángulo muerto, y reconocimiento de peatones con avisos hápticos en el volante en el sistema que avisa y evita colisiones frontales, entre otros.
